NANA ELECTIONS INFORMATION
The Native American Nurses Association (NANA) is accepting nominations to serve on the Board of Directors for the 2019-2021 term.
Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague. Through active participation on the Board of Directors, the nominee will be influential in shaping the practice of Native American nurses and the health and wellness of Native American communities.
The following positions are currently open:
Treasurer/ membership coordinator
Mentor and volunteer coordinator, and
Social media/public relations coordinator
To be considered as a candidate for the NANA Board, the nominee must be:
– Native American Nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
– A dues paying member
– Willing to commit to a minimum of two years for each position
– Willing to adhere to the operational and communication expectations of the NANA bylaws.
Process for candidacy:
Nominate a peer or yourself by submitting a nomination statement stating which position you are running for, why you choose to run for the position, and how you plan to contribute to the nursing community and the Native American community. Please attach a resume or curriculum vitae.
Nominations are due Friday, September 14, 2018 at 5 p.m. Please submit electronically to Lei-Lani White at email@example.com. Nominees are encouraged to attend the NANA monthly meeting on October 10th. Voting will open on October 12th and close on October 26th at midnight. Only paid dues members are allowed to vote. Voting will be available via Survey Monkey. The link will be emailed to paid dues members only!
